Description

This series comprises eight black and white (b/w) photographic prints, some of which were probably taken by Ernest E Kramer (see AA 669). These photographs depict unidentified Australian Aboriginal people, except for AA 1/61/3 which is of a well known man named Mickey Dow Dow. Photograph AA 1/61/7 appears to belong to the 'North Tour' sequence and is the only item in this series which is mounted on paper with annotations on the paper. The prints are stored in a binder titled 'AA 1 Aborigines' Friends' Association (AFA) Photographic Prints, Album 3 of 4'.

South Australian Museum archivist Kay L Mead described this series in 1980. In her listing she recorded a caption for this series but the exact source of the caption is not known. This caption has been retained as the 'Series Title' and has been listed in the 'Details' field of the inventory along with all annotations and ink stamps found on the prints. All place names and proper names from the annotations and caption have been indexed.

The series was part of Acc. No. 86.
