This series comprises six black and white (b/w) photographs which were taken in 1927 on the 'North Tour', probably by Ernest E Kramer (see AA 669). The photographs depict Australian Aboriginal people at Mount Stuart, Northern Territory. This series is previously described as having only five images as AA 1/40/6 was thought to be a copy of AA 1/40/3. The slightest difference in the hand position in front of the poster at the lower right of the image clearly shows this to be another separate image. Note that this photograph shows unidentified people. The prints are stored unmounted in a binder titled 'AA 1 Aborigines' Friends' Association (AFA) Photographic Prints, Album 3 of 4'.

South Australian Museum archivist Kay L Mead described this series in 1980. In her listing she recorded a caption for this series but the exact source of the caption is not known. The caption has been retained as the 'Series Title'. All place names and proper names from the annotations and caption have been indexed. All of the annotations and ink stamps found on the prints have been listed in the 'Details' field of the inventory.

The series was part of Acc. No. 86.
